Well, everyone, it’s Election Day… finally, and happily. I love Election Day.
For a long time, I’ve loved this day, and this year feels special (though honestly, they almost all feel special at the time, don’t they?). I voted early so I wouldn’t have to face potentially long lines today, but I am eager to begin a day of frequent checking-in with the news and watching returns this evening.
For those who voted this year… hooray for you! I don’t care (or at the very least, won’t ask) who you voted for, but seeing as how most of the people I know are in the “rarely vote” age group, I think it’s important to show up and vote so our elected officials take note of us as a voting bloc.
I have to go to classes today (one decidedly more exciting than the other), but I’m otherwise looking forward to a great day. Kinda like Christmas.
