Random tidbits at 1:30 a.m.

I’ve been meaning to post some stuff on the blog all day … but, seeing as how it’s 1:30 a.m. and thus *technically* “tomorrow” (though I’ve always held firm in my belief that it’s not “tomorrow” until I sleep, which I haven’t done yet). At any rate, here’s some random bits o’ news for y’all:

  • This morning, I picked up a printout of my full lab results from last week, and discovered that my cholesterol’s dropped 40 points since I started losing weight late in January. Forty points! Incredible! 🙂
  • My vision has gotten worse in the last year — I went to the eye doctor today and endured a grueling series of tests, pokes and prods, but ultimately left with a stronger prescription and a new type of contact lens. {sigh} For those who’ve been advocating Lasik, I just want you to know that I asked the eye doc about it, and he said I’m not a good candidate right now because my vision is still steadily worsening year to year. Ah well.
  • While at the eye doc, though, the receptionist told me “You look *nothing* like your driver’s license picture.” THANK GOD. 🙂
  • Garage sale prep is exhausting, my friends, but will be *so* worth it tomorrow (or should that read “today”? I’m so confused!) when all of our hard work translates into less stuff and more cash. Better get here early if you want first dibs! 🙂
