Sammy is my hero!

Last week, more than ten days in advance of the due date (!!), I finished Sammy’s Hill, this month’s YAP book club book. It was fantastic! Kristin Gore (daughter of Al) crafted an inspirational, completely human main character in Sammy — she’s just neurotic, insecure and prone to fumbling enough that you feel she could be your best friend … or, perhaps, yourself. I highly recommend this book!

And I can’t wait to hear what Gary thinks of it … the last time I had such a good feeling about a more “girly” sort of book, Gary threw me for a loop by presenting an entirely valid but completely different guy perspective. No pressure on him, but I’m curious to see if he can do the same with Sammy. 🙂

  1. Ahem … *not* that I read lots of "girly" books. Nope, not me. All Stephen King, all the time. And some John Grisham, Michael Crichton, and Elmore Leonard thrown in. Oh, and my subscriptions to Maxim and FHM.
