a blonde moment

Last night, Rachelle and I went to see “Enchanted April” at the Water Tower Theater in Addison. Beforehand, we met at Cristina’s for dinner & margaritas — Paul told me ages ago that he loved the margaritas there, and he was right; mine was fantastic! And potent! 🙂

The play itself was excellent (as they usually are at the WTT), and I had a lot of fun. The only catch was that we weren’t entirely sure we’d get to see the play, as I had a genuine blonde moment regarding the date of my tickets. I had checked several times, but still managed to miss the fact that my tickets were for last Wednesday night. I called the theater box office en route from Cristina’s, and they said they were all sold out last night. Ever the optimist, I pressed on anyway and Rachelle and I waited in the lobby to see if anyone failed to show up. It turned out there were plenty of seats and we had no trouble getting in. (Thankfully!) Still, I felt really dumb, especially since I had feared just that would happen and checked my tickets several times in advance. D’oh!

Anyway, “Enchanted April” was an excellent play to see in the company of women (the crowd was predominantly female) and I definitely recommend it!
