bummer.

Granted, I cheered as loudly as anyone else when I saw Jon Stewart beating up on Crossfire — the show and its hosts.

Still, I had so wanted to experience being in the studio audience at my alma mater this summer when I’m out for a visit.

Bummer. 🙁

Dear Crossfire Audience Members:

We are writing to inform you that after 23 years on the air, CNN is bringing Crossfire to a close. The final Crossfire telecast will air live on CNN on Friday, June 3, 2005 from 4:30-5:00 p.m. before a studio audience at The George Washington University. Reservations to attend Crossfire will be honored through the final program on June 3.

However, reservations for all shows after June 3 are now cancelled.

After the final Crossfire telecast, CNN production from The George Washington University will go on hiatus while the network develops new programming. If and when future programs are scheduled at The George Washington University, we look forward to inviting you back to join us.

We thank you for attending Crossfire at The George Washington University and for watching the program over the years. We hope you will stay tuned to CNN for your political news as new programming is developed.
