A doable practicum site for my MLS program has finally been offered to me — I’m going to be at the TWU library in the reference department this spring. I sometimes half-jokingly think of the library staff as a major contingent of my (totally imaginary) fan club, which seems to have paid off as they’re making exceptions to their policies to let me do my practicum there. This saves me from having to go to Texas Wesleyan at nights or weekends, or from having to do a public library practicum (not that that would be horrible, it’s just frankly not my preference). Hooray!
Presumably this will all kick off when classes begin Jan. 18. Looks like this is going to be a frenetic semester … but, then, isn’t it always? 🙂
Plus, at the end, I get a new degree to frame. Whee!
