Plano schools are closed today.

I don’t have kids, but I always know when schools are closed because my pre-highway commute is significantly easier due to a lack of school zone slow-downs.
Seriously. Closed on Valentine’s day? What on Earth for?
I noticed this too and commented on it to a coworker. He said that schools were closed because of a nasty stomach virus going around. He further claimed that it was fatal in at least one local case. I (half-heartedly) searched DMN, but found nothing to back that up. I consider it a suburban legend, but would be willing to be proven wrong.
Well it is just safer to give the older kids they day off so they can explore there "love" and relationships with out the added responsibility of school and parents being around. And of course they can't just give the "of age" kids off so they gave all of Plano schools off for the day; seems logical to me. (Why couldn't I be in school now?)
