I have long enjoyed the films of Kevin Smith, and so it was a given that Daniel and I would go see Clerks II on its opening day. We just got back from our cheap date matinee showing, and I have to say — I’ve seen all of Kevin’s films, and this one had me thinking a couple of times, “I would have REALLY enjoyed a warning that that was coming!” Whoa, buddy!
It was hilarious. We saw it with a theater full of people who were clearly devoted Kevin Smith fans — one guy even had a Mooby’s funployee shirt for the occasion — and there was consequently raucous laughter throughout. It was great fun.
