holy shit.

Well, in an unexpectedly quick response to last night’s offer on the *fantastic* house in Allen … Bruce (realtor guy extraordinaire) called a short while ago to give me the good news …

Namely, the owner accepted the offer with only one slight amendment — he accepted my suggested selling price ($2,500 below asking), but lowered the amount of closing costs he’ll pay from $5,200 to $3,200. So, I’m still coming out about $500 below the original asking price. Sweet!

Also, instead of closing on Oct. 27, he wants to close Sept. 28, but is willing to rent the house as long as we want through December, if we want. Since we’ve only moved it up a month (nearly to the day), I figure I’ll rent the house to him through Oct. 27, which will give Daniel and me two months to pack up the Seabrook house, and a few days to move into the new house before we have to give notice to our current landlords. We’ll have the (current) rental house emtpy basically a full month to clean, get the carpets cleaned/sanitized (required to get our pet deposit back), etc., without having to fuss with the landlord(s) from hell showing the house while we’re still living there.

In a word, *ideal*.

I sign the amended paperwork tonight and close in less than a month!!!

So … don’t know what *you’re* doing this Labor Day weekend, but I’m seeing packing in my future…

AGAIN. hehehe
