Friday night, Daniel and I went to see “Be Cool,” John Travolta’s follow up to “Get Shorty.”
Though I had heard it was only okay, I have to say that I really enjoyed this movie … particularly the first five or ten minutes, which was a nonstop series of lines that poked fun at the movie itself.
One of my favorites? Travolta saying something like, “Did you know you have to use the R rating if you use the ‘f’ word more than once in a movie? I say, ‘Fuck that!'” (“Be Cool,” rated R, nevertheless used the ‘f’ word only that one time.)
Travolta plays Chili Palmer, an ex-mob hitman turned movie producer who now wants to get into the music business.
Chili’s first line in the movie? “I hate sequels.” 🙂
