THIS is the year!

If my sources are correct — and why it’s so damned hard to find good information a month before football season starts is beyond me — then Friday, September 10, 2004, will be the day (mark my words, friends!) that the Bombers of Mountain Home High School WILL defeat the Harrison Goblins.

I’m already plotting the road trip. Everyone is invited. Take Friday off; the caravan leaves for northern Arkansas promptly at 10 a.m.! The reward for your tagging along is seeing me at my absolute craziest: screaming, singing, yelling, chanting, cheering, jumping, exclaiming, and finally … yes, celebrating the win we’ve awaited these two decades!

A love of football is totally optional. 😉

    Liz,
Thank you for this blog. Gosh, it brings back some great memories of that game. I could not find any articles anywhere online about the game until I stumbled upon your blog. I was a senior on that '04 team that finally beat those bastards. It's great to see people like you that take pride and are proud of where they are from. I'm lucky enough to still be playing collegiately, but my favroite sports memory still to this day is beating the breaks off the Goblins. Take care and God Bless!
